The idea of 
started out a few years ago when, as a sleepy first time mother, I started knitting a jumper for
my baby son and it ended up being a Hat! I got a lot of great comments about the hat and friends started
asking me to knit hats for their children. I discovered that there are very few people making handmade hats
anymore and so with a little research and a lot of encouragement from family and friends, I bit the bullet.

My main aim is to have fun, and experiment with colour and texture. Whether I am knitting Incy Wincy Spider or a flower, I attempt to recreate them in a 3-dimensional way, and this play with depth and texture adds life to my work, which always brings a smile to people's faces.
What could be better? I draw my inspiration from all around me, be it nature, the sea, or a children's story book. Every season I add a few more hats, so keep watching as your favourite might yet appear.

This season 2013/14 we are launching in New York, U.S.A., and it is a very exciting time for to be based here for this coming year!
